| Athens NEDA Walk @ Sandy Creek Park Sunday, November 6, 2011 Registration opens at 2PM; Walk begins at 3PM Sophomore at UGA Heads up NEDA Walk! Ashton Garner, a sophomore at UGA, decided last summer to encourage and inform the Athens, GA community about the hazards of eating disorders & now she has partnered with the National Eating Disorder Association & is heading up the 1st Annual NEDA walk this Sunday. It is Ashton desire to help spread the understanding & prevention of eating disorders in her collegiate community, where eating disorders are often prevalent. Please join us on our quest to help stop eating disorders from occurring! You can send in money on Ashton's behalf to NEDA, become a corporate sponsor at the $100, $250, or $500 levels, or join the walk! Guest speakers at the event will be: Dr. Genie Burnett, psychologist with the Manna Fund and Manna Treatment & Counseling, Dr. Anne Weitzman-Swain, psychologist, with the Eating Disorders Recovery Center of Athens, and Dr. Deenie Tarver, psychologist, of the UGA University Health Center's Eating Disorder Team.
